One thing I've been wanting to work on are my piping details, so when I made my last batch of cookies, I saved 4 of them to practice on.
Another thing that's been important to me is to actually create a unique design.
One I hadn't seen on a cookie before.
Before I searched the internet for some creative inspiration, I made 4 basic colors.
I absolutely love these four shades.
I opted to use bags today for easier and faster clean up purposes.
The first pattern I stumbled upon was this paisley inspired design.
I pulled some key elements from it and this is what I came up with.
I opted to use the silver dragees because the opportunities to use them are few and far between.
Next I found this fantastic image.
I offset the design like it is in the closest image.
However, I didn't space things exactly correct and ended up with 5 designs coming out of the center instead of the 4 like the picture above.
Instead of keeping the center a blank circle, I added pearl dragees.
Then I came across this beautiful damask like print.
And this was my interpretation of it.
It's my favorite.
Then I made one final cookie where I just played around with different techniques and combined the colors.
Attempting those designs proved to me that if I ever want to make numerous cookies with those patterns I will definitely need a KopyKake!
