Happy Mother's Day!
God has not blessed my husband and I with our own children, but I am mommy to four four-legged furbabies. Although, they didn't get me a card or make me breakfast in bed! And I do enjoy being a second mom to my four little sisters; though they might tell you otherwise.
And, I'm very, very lucky to have such an amazing Mom. At one point my mom (and dad) had a kid in preschool, one in elementary school, one in middle school, one in high school and one in college!
Most all of my friends are mommies and I long ago gave up on sending out individual mother's day cards to them. I'd be broke!!! :)
I have mixed emotions about this Hallmark holiday. Just like I do with Valentine's Day and Grandparent's Day. I'm a firm believer in making every day count and letting those you love in your life know it each and every day.
My college roomie asked me to make some Mother's Day cookies for some very special ladies in her life and at church.
I played around with some designs, threw in a few flowers and used some spring colors.
Happy Mother's Day to ALL women out there. Whether you're a mom to your own children or furbabies. Whether you help nuture and mother children in your church or at school as a teacher, or as a volunteer or to your nieces and nephews or even to your angel babies.
It ALL counts and so do you!
