If you know me at all, you know I love Penn State.
My parents grew up 45 minutes away from State College and my aunt and uncle live in Bellefonte which is just outside of this fantastic college town. Did you know on most football game day Saturdays State College becomes the 3rd largest city in Pennsylvania?
One set of my grandparents held season tickets to the football games for 20+ years. The other set for 30+ years. It was a rite of passage to attend your first Penn State football game in my family. I often joke that Virginia Schools don't know what true tailgating is. Fancy dresses, you UVAers??? please. (please note, that was said in good fun.)
My mom and most of my aunts and uncles are Nittany Lion alumn. My sister #3 just finished her junior year at Dear Old State. Sister #3 is in the Silk Line in the Blue Band. From the end of August through November, I spend as many weekends as possible in Happy Valley.
So, when I received an order for PSU graduation cookies, you know I was over the moon excited!!!
Cookies AND Penn State!!!
Plus, it was good practice for the cookies I'll have to make next year for Ally's graduation.
(Fun Family Fact: My cousin Jayson, just got accepted to Penn State. Awesome job, Jayson!!!!
We're hoping he makes the Blue Band so Ally and he will have one year together!)
Don't laugh at the pictures below. I was channeling my inner Glory of Glorious Treats and tried using props.
