If you read this blog at all, you'll know I talk a lot about inspiration.
Most of the time, (when needed), I pull my design inspiration from the party invitation.
But what do you do when this is the picture on the invite?
These cookies were made for the school where my mom works.
In fact, it used to be two schools.
Several years ago, these two different schools joined together to become one bigger and better school.
Recently, they built a brand new building on the school grounds and named it "Founders' Hall".
And this past weekend, they had a party to honor the Founders of both schools.
The above piece of artwork was painted by a student and included on the invitation.
Instead of doing the artwork injustice by attempting to copy it, I simply pulled the main colors from it.
This is the new Founders' Hall and I wanted to pay tribute to it...cookie style.
Simple lines and I think most people at the party could figure out what it was suppose to be.
