It was an exciting night in this household.
Our friend, Ben, came over and installed the new baseboard.
I'm always amazed by people who can build things. Mostly, what I'm amazed at is their ability to work with numbers. My brain does not process numbers and I while I have the motivation, the can-do attitude and the d-i-y spirit, my home remodel projects come to a stand still when math and measuring are involved. It's sad really. But, honestly, I loathe math.
Anyway, back to Ben and the baseboard. Seriously, he should get an award, because he had to install little pieces up the sides of our vent and over the top of the vent. The beadboard has to slide into a baseboard at every spot on the wall, including above vents. Even just thinking about having to cut those angles is giving me anxiety!
Hopefully by the end of this weekend the beadboard will be up!
Here are some pictures of the work in progress!
Just like with most home projects; this room redo has evolved into another room redo, but more on that later!
First mission; complete the beadboard!
I must remember to take baby steps!
