It's been 8 years since I've done a week at the beach during the summer.
Growing up we went to the beach every summer, but then I joined the real working world and somehow the summers have slipped on by.
There will be about 23 of us sharing a big beach house for a week this summer and to say I'm excited is an understatement.
I was asked to make luau themed cookies and all I could do was daydream about being on the beach in a few weeks.
Or on an island in the Caribbean, which is where I'll be in December!
Either way...hurry up vacations!
I loved this set of cookies. Mostly because I was able to do a variety, which I absolutely love having the opportunity to make.
You can't go to a luau and not wear your Hawaiian shirt! Thanks to Callye for an easy t-shirt tutorial these cookies were super simple to make!
What luau collection would be complete without palm trees?
If you've followed this blog for awhile, you know that we recently re-did our 2nd bedroom into a craft room. With the room redo all of my husband's palm tree collection got put into a box. Last week we had a yard sale and it saddened me to see so many of the palm tree accessories my family and I bought for him in the first year of our relationship get sold to strangers. Palm trees will always represent the beginning of our relationship and happy, happy memories.
Hibiscus flowers were a must!
These cookies went to an engagement party. Naturally, I had to do some personalized cookies. I love the big oval cookie with the 'lei' around the edge!
Thank you Amanda!
